-The wrong guess, some cultures are better than the others

Some cultures rank higher than the others on a developing ladder 

The goal(at least from those on the top of the ladder) must be always to move up the ladder to become more and more developed towars  westerm Standars.

THE RELATIVISTIC CONCEPTS OF CULTURE

Cultural relativism is the principle that an individual human's beliefs and activities should be understood by others in terms of that individual's own culture

-All cultures are equal

-Cultures as homogenic island

THE CONPLEX CONCEP OF CULTURE

EXAMPLE: a group of culture traits all interrelated and dominated by one essential trait: Nationalism is a culture complex.

REFLECTION

A man was placing flowers on the grave of a relative, when he sees a Chinese man placing a bowl of rice on the neighboring tomb. Man goes to China, and asks:

Excuse me sir, but do you think the dead really eat rice?
Yes, "replied the Chinese ... When he smelled his flowers.

Moral:
Respect other's choices, is one of the greatest virtues a human being can have. People are different, act different and think differently. Do not judge ... Only UNDERSTAND.
